SAA event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ghalanai, Mohmand District area, Pakistan on Fri 6th September 2024

Three suicide bombers were killed in an attack on the paramilitary Mohmand Rifles headquarters and the subsequent exchange of fire with Security Forces (SFs) in Ghalanai town of Mohmand District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 6, reports Dawn. Four militants attacked the headquarters of Mohmand Rifles and attempted to enter the building. SFs personnel posted at the gate attempted to stop the militants, two of whom blew their suicide jackets and died on the spot, according to District Police Officer (DPO) Usama Ameen Cheema. A heavy contingent of Frontier Corps and Police responded to the attack and managed to kill one of the militants.  Fourth militants was still missing, and a search operation was underway in the compound to locate him. The buildings inside the camp were partially damaged in the attack, but no casualties of SF personnel were reported.
