On September 5, an Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) cadre, identified as Hamid Hossain, was arrested during a special joint drive conducted by the Armed Police Battalion (APBn-14) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Rohingya camp 20 and the surrounding areas in Cox’s Bazar District of Chittagong Division, reports Bangladesh Post. He was accused in three cases, including two murder cases. Commander of APBn-14 (Additional DIG) Mohammad Iqbal confirmed the arrest and said that a one-shot gun and one round of shotgun cartridge were recovered from his possession.
