UAV event in Tulcea, Periprava area, Romania on Sun 8th September 2024

Forces of the Ministry of National Defense carried out on Sunday, September 8, search actions for possible fragments of drones that fell following the attacks, from the previous night, carried out by the Russian forces on some civilian targets and port infrastructure in Ukraine, in the proximity of the border with Romania .

MApN teams, in cooperation with specialists from the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, investigated the proximity of the town of Periprava, Tulcea county, from where they picked up fragments of a drone of Russian origin, to be expertized, according to legal procedures.

In the next period, research actions will also be carried out in the vicinity of the town of Caraorman, where another possible impact area has been reported.

We mention that both the researched area near the town of Periprava, as well as the possible impact area near the town of Caraorman, are located in marshy areas, outside the towns, with no infrastructure elements affected.
