Ibrahim Al-Hassan, a media activist in Deir Ez-Zor, told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that regime forces and their affiliated militias targeted the city of Al-Mayadin with four mortar shells, which landed on the outskirts of the town of Al-Hawayij in the eastern Deir Ez-Zor countryside, an area under SDF control. No casualties were reported, and the SDF responded to the source of the fire. Clashes also erupted between the two sides along the western bank of the Euphrates River, with mortar shells falling in some of the nearby villages.
