Missile event in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine on Mon 2nd September 2024

On the evening of September 2, 2024, around 10:00 p.m., two explosions were reported in Dnepropetrovsk. Local authorities quickly announced damage to residential buildings and possible casualties—much like usual.

🔻 But where was the strike?

Two ballistic missiles from the “Iskander” missile system hit the territory of the “AV Metal Group” enterprise, located at 21 Aleksandra Otsupa Street.

📌 This facility had a well-developed infrastructure for transporting heavy loads, which was used to move military equipment, ammunition, and other materials. Additionally, the plant’s territory was repurposed for the repair of military equipment, including armored vehicles, artillery systems, and the creation of protective structures.

🔻 As a result of the strikes, eight cargo trucks and six military trailers used for transporting military supplies delivered by rail to Ukrainian formations on the Pokrovsk and Southern Donetsk fronts were destroyed.

‼️ There is no confirmed information indicating the presence of military equipment or weapons at the site at the time of the strike. However, local residents reported significant fires and periodic explosions, suggesting signs of secondary detonation.
