In a recent operation, personnel from the Specialized Intelligence Undersecretariat (SIE) of the Civil Guard seized a workshop for manufacturing land and air explosives, used by the Los Viagras cartel , which was located in the town of Eréndira in the Buenavista Tomatlán municipality, according to what transpired in the journalistic investigation.

The SIE, in its prevention, deterrence and surveillance efforts, found the workshop of Los Viagras, a group recently allied with the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel, where explosives for narcomines, narcodrones, hand grenades and grenade launchers were made . Although there were no arrests, a perimeter security device was implemented and the area was cordoned off to minimize risks.

Officials said that the Army will now carry out the deactivation and counting of the found devices , which will be made available to the Attorney General's Office.

This achievement is a significant blow against criminal behavior in the region and guarantees the tranquility of the population . In addition, efforts to combat crime will continue in order to inhibit the groups that generate violence, police commanders told this newspaper.
