On August 24, a terrorist was killed and a soldier was injured during an exchange of fire in the Watergam Sopore area of Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. An official confirmed the incident, stating, "The militant has been killed, and with that, the operation is concluded." He added that the identity and group affiliation of the militant are being ascertained. Additionally, a pistol, along with some rounds and a grenade, was recovered from the site.
