On 15 Sep 2019, joint Afghan-US NATO forces bombarded (assumed with airstrikes) civilian compounds in the Dom Qalah area of Gurziwan district, Faryab, following casualties among their forces from a Taliban-planted IED in the area. 2 civilians were killed, 2 were wounded, 1 was arrested, and 3 compounds were demolished.
