On September 17 2019, 22 security personnel (including ANA and NDS) were killed and 38 were wounded by a Taliban-claimed suicide bomber who blew himself up close to the US Embassy and Afghanistan's Ministry of Defense in Kabul city. 23 fatalities coded to include the bomber.
