A total of 133 combat clashes have occurred on 11 fronts during the past day, with most of them recorded on the Pokrovsk and Toretsk fronts. Source: General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, information as of 08:00 on 6 August Details: On the Kharkiv front, the Russians continued their active operations, with five combat clashes occurring near the settlements of Vovchansk and Tykhe. On the Kupiansk front, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions seven times, focusing their efforts near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Berestove and Stelmakhivka. On the Lyman front, Ukrainian forces repelled ten Russian assaults near the settlements of Makiivka, Terny, Nevske and in Serebrianka Forest. On the Siversk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 assaults near the settlements of Ivanodarivka, Verkhnokamianske, Pereizne and Vyimka. On the Kramatorsk front, Ukrainian troops stopped 13 Russian attempts to break through Ukrainian defences near the settlements of Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske (Donetsk Oblast). On the Toretsk front, the Russians, supported by aircraft, conducted 26 attacks near the settlements of Pivnichne, Toretsk and New-York. On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 41 Russian assaults. The Russians concentrated their efforts near the settlements of Panteleimonivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Ivanivka, Zhelanne, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka (Donetsk Oblast). On the Kurakhove front, Ukraine’s defence forces are continuing to hold back the Russians near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Kostiantynivka, where the Russians have tried to break through Ukrainian defences seven times. On the Vremivka front, the Russians conducted four assaults on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Vodiane and Rozdolne (Donetsk Oblast). On the Orikhiv front, Ukrainian forces repelled one Russian unsuccessful attack toward the village of Robotyne. On the Prydniprovske front, Ukraine’s defence forces successfully repelled six Russian attacks on Ukrainian positions. On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There is no evidence of the formation of offensive Russian groups there. On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts, the Russians are maintaining their military presence, bombarding settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation and conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities. Ukrainian forces continue to inflict significant losses on Russian troops in both manpower and equipment, depleting Russian forces along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
