The National Guard and the Mexican Army seized rifles, cartridges, magazines and explosive devices designed to be launched from drones.
The arrest in the state of Sonora took place after security patrols in the municipality of General Plutarco Elías Calles , where security forces detected a group of individuals wearing tactical vests and carrying long weapons , who upon noticing the official presence, fled in different directions.
Authorities reported that they were unable to arrest the possible criminals ; although they found two .50 caliber rifles, 12 explosive devices for drones, 50 magazines for long weapons and 2,134 cartridges of different calibers in the area.
According to the information, the security elements proceeded to seize the rifles, magazines and cartridges, which were made available to the Public Prosecutor 's Office to begin the corresponding investigations.
Likewise, the destruction of the explosive devices at the site of the discovery was authorized to avoid risks to the population .
