"Hotel arson in Jessore. Death toll rises to 24": Protesters in Bangladesh set fire to a hotel, leaving at least 24 people burned alive or suffocated, more than 150 hospitalized.
"At least 24 people were burned alive as a result of a fire that broke out in a hotel in Jessore. According to the head of the fire service and civil defense center, Abdul Qadir, most of the victims suffocated.
It is known that the hotel belonged to the secretary general of the Awami League party, which was led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled the country.
A local hospital reported that more than 150 people were hospitalized after the hotel was set on fire"
