The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Sunday that they had succeeded in downing a US MQ-9 drone with a locally-made surface-to-air missile while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Saada Governorate.

The official military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e, confirmed that this drone was the seventh of its kind to be shot down since the beginning of the "Promised Conquest" battle, praising the bravery and steadfastness of the fighters in the face of the aggression.

In a related context, the Naval Forces and the Missile Force carried out a joint military operation that targeted the (Groton) ship in the Gulf of Aden with a number of ballistic missiles, achieving a direct hit.

The statement explained that this targeting came in response to the violation by the company owning the ship of the decision to ban entry into the occupied Palestinian ports.

The Armed Forces also saluted the valiant Palestinian resistance for its heroic steadfastness and sacrifices over the past 300 days in defense of Al-Aqsa and the holy sites.

The Armed Forces stressed that they will continue to carry out military operations at various escalation stages, affirming that they will not stop until the aggression is halted and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted. Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out a surprise retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.

The Yemeni forces have carried out scores of operations in support of the war-hit Gazans, striking targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading towards ports in the occupied territories.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have said that they won’t stop their attacks until unrelenting Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza end.

The Tel Aviv regime has so far killed at least 38,794 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 89,364 others, according to the Gaza-based health ministry.

The occupying entity has also imposed a “complete siege” on the territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
