On August 4th, 2002, the socialist Basque separatist group ETA detonated a car bomb outside of the Civil Guard's barracks in Santa Pola, Spain, killing six-year-old Silvia Martínez Santiago and 54-year-old Cecilio Gallegos Alaminos, and injuring 40 people
