Citizens swimming on the coast of Arnavutköy district in Istanbul found an unexploded mortar shell in the sea. After being examined by the gendarmerie teams, the mortar shell was removed from the scene and taken under protection.
In the afternoon, citizens swimming in the sea in Yeniköy Beach, Arnavutköy, Istanbul, found an unexploded mortar shell. The mortar shell, which was brought to the shore by the people around, was taken under protection by the gendarmerie teams who arrived at the scene.
During the examinations at the scene, gendarmerie teams closed the beach and its surroundings to the public as a security measure.
After the initial examinations at the scene, the mortar shell was taken under protection and removed by the gendarmerie teams. It was learned that the teams will continue to keep the area and its surroundings closed for a while.
