As many as 129 combat clashes occurred on the battlefield in Ukraine on July 27, with Russian forces being most active in the Pokrovsk, Toretsk and Kurakhove sectors. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 08:00 on Sunday, July 28, Ukrinform reports. Yesterday the enemy launched two missile strikes against Ukrainian positions and populated areas using two missiles and 74 airstrikes using 101 guided aerial bombs. The Russians also launched 4,883 shelling attacks, including 129 using multiple rocket launchers. The Russians carried out airstrikes outside the settlements of Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Slobozhanske, Mali Prokhody, Dementiivka, Borshchova, Ternova, Vovchansk and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, Lyman, Torske, Druzhba, Toretsk, Niu-York, Ivanivka, Lysychne, Myrnohrad, Hrodivka, Oleksandropil, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Halytsynivka, Vodiane, Urozhaine and Novodarivka in the Donetsk region, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Kamianske and Piatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Burhunka in the Kherson region. On July 27, Ukrainian combat aircraft and missile and artillery forces launched 15 strikes on Russian troop concentration areas and hit an artillery piece, a radar and two air defense systems. In the Kharkiv sector, nine combat clashes were recorded near Hlyboke, Tykhe and Vovchansk. Three enemy attacks were recorded in the Kupiansk sector in the past day. Ukrainian forces repelled enemy assaults near Synkivka, Kharkiv region. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 14 enemy attacks near Novoserhiivka, Kharkiv region, Makiivka and Nevske in the Luhansk region, and Terny in the Donetsk region. On the Siversk axis, Ukrainian forces repelled eight attacks near Verkhniokamianske and Spirne. In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped six enemy attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses outside Ivanivske and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy made 28 attempts to wedge into the Ukrainian defense in the Toretsk sector outside Pivnichne, Toretsk, Niu-York and Zalizn. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 attacks near Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Serhiivka, Yasnobrodivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Tymofiivka, Novoselivka Persha and Kalynivka, where the enemy tried to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions. In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian forces continued to hold off the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy made 18 attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses. In the Vremivka sector, the enemy made seven unsuccessful attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses in the direction of Kostiantynivka and Rozdolne in the Donetsk region. In the Orikhiv sector, four combat clashes were recorded near Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka, Zaporizhzhia region. In the Dnipro River sector, the enemy attempted to attack Ukrainian positions on the islands. During the past day, the enemy launched three unsuccessful attacks against Ukrainian positions.
