Mortar Bomb event in Balochistan, Sami, Kech District area, Pakistan on Sat 27th July 2024

Three Pakistani soldiers and one Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) ‘patrol commander’ were killed when the BLA cadres attacked a military post in the Sami area of Kech District of Balochistan in the night of July 23, reports The Balochistan Post. In a media statement, the BLA ‘spokesperson’ Jeeyand Baloch claimed responsibility of the attack. Jeeyand Baloch said another team of BLA cadres also targeted and destroyed machinery of an exploitative project near the military camp. “During the clashes, Comrade Ali Jan Baloch, was martyred by an exploding mortar shell,” Jeeyand Baloch added. “Ali Jan, a patrol commander from Turbat, had participated in multiple battles against Pakistani forces since joining the BLA in 2020, he added further.
