A 10-year-old boy identified as Hidma Kabasi was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion suspected to have been planted by the cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) in Bijapur District in the Bastar division of Chhattisgarh on July 28, reports odishabhaskar.in. According to Bijapur Police, the child became a victim of a landmine planted by the Maoists to target security personnel. This incident occurred on the first day of ‘Martyrs Week’ observation by the Maoists.
