On 23 July 2024, in Maung Tet village (Shwebo township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), about 50 military soldiers from the No. 8 military training base and IB-12 base arrived at Ohn Pauk village and then fired some artillery rounds at the nearby villages. One of the rounds landed in Maung Tet village, killing a woman and injuring five others. Some houses were also destroyed.
