On 23 July 2024, an unidentified armed group targeted a vehicle belonging to Al Battar Battalion, operating under Liwa' Al Hashemiyoun, in the town of Kaba Jeb in the countryside of Deir ez Zor with a guided missile, killing two members of the latter, including a commander, and wounding six others. 2 fatalities.
