On 24 July 2024, in the El Plateado corregimiento (Cauca), military forces conducted a bombing operation against a Carlos Patino FARC dissidents camp after they attacked a soccer field with explosive devices, killing one minor and injuring other civilians, the day prior (coded separately). The camp was surrounded by landmines, therefore military forces launched an airstrike before occupying it by foot, where they did not find any dissidents. Military airstrikes have been suspended since 2022. There were no casualties.
