On Tuesday evening, a man was found shot in Upplands-Bro. He is being treated for life-threatening injuries, the police said.

The task force, police helicopter and civilian police have participated in the search for the perpetrator, but no one has yet been arrested.

A man with gunshot wounds was found outside in Bro on Tuesday evening. According to the police, the injuries are life-threatening.

The public must have treated the man while waiting for an ambulance and an extensive police operation was launched in the area.

- We have a helicopter, dog patrol, the regional task force, uniformed police officers, civil police officers, management capacity, a selection of resources, said Ola Österling, press spokesperson for the Stockholm police region, on Tuesday evening.

The police are investigating the incident as attempted murder.

Several locations were cordoned off so forensics could secure clues.

"A large number" of footage from various surveillance cameras is currently being collected for analysis. On Tuesday evening, the police also knocked on doors to ask residents in the area about any sightings.
