Rocket event in Donetsk, Petropavlivka area, Ukraine on Wed 24th July 2024

The situation at the front remains difficult and tense. The enemy, despite the significant losses suffered by our defenders, continues to try to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops. Today, the invaders focused on the Kurakhove and Pokrovske directions. In total, more than 90 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. Systematic insidious attacks by enemy artillery and aviation along the border of Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue. Today, the areas of Khodyno, Vovkivka, Klyusy and Dachne were hit by enemy artillery shelling from the territory of Russia. In addition, the enemy attacked Oleksandrivka with unguided aerial missiles and fired at Basivka with multiple rocket launchers. At the same time, Kharkiv region is under constant fire from enemy aircraft. Terrorists have already dropped 15 unmanned aerial vehicles today. They targeted the areas of Vovchansk, Liptsi, Velyki Prokhody and Mali Prokhody. Today in the Kharkiv sector, Russian occupants attempted five times to storm the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops in the area of Tykhyi, Hlyboke and Sotnytsia Kozachok. All the enemy attacks were repelled by the Defence Forces. In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy actively attacked the positions of our troops four times in the vicinity of Sinkivka, Petropavlivka and Stelmakhivka. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line. Today, in the Liman sector, the invading army made six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Makiivka, Nevske and in the Serebryansky forest. Five engagements ended without success for the enemy, and one is ongoing. In the Siversky sector, near Verkhnekamianske, Rozdolivka, Ivan-Daryivka and Pereizne, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks by the occupying army, and another engagement is still ongoing. In the Kramatorsk sector, the invaders made five assaults on the positions of our troops near Novomarkove and Chasovyi Yar. Four firefights are currently taking place. The situation is under control. The number of enemy attacks in the Toretsk sector increased to six. The enemy has concentrated its efforts in the area of Pivnichne and New York, where six firefights are taking place. The occupants are actively using aviation in this area, in particular, the Toretsk area is being bombed. Since the beginning of the day, in the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy, with the support of aviation, has already made 22 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Vovche, Progress, Novoselivka Persha, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Karlivka and Zhelanne. The defence forces are holding back the attack and have repelled 15 enemy attacks so far, with seven attacks still ongoing. The enemy's losses are being clarified. Fighting continues near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka in the Kurakhove sector. According to the updated information, 27 attacks of the occupation army have been repelled in this area so far, eight attacks are still ongoing. In the Vremivsk sector, our troops repelled eight enemy attacks in the direction of Kostyantynivka, Vodiane and Vuhledar. The enemy was not successful. In the Orikhivskyi direction, the occupants made two unsuccessful attempts to attack our units near Mala Tokmachka and Novodarivka. In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy tried unsuccessfully to drive Ukrainian troops from their positions once. Please support the Armed Forces of Ukraine! We will win together! Glory to Ukraine!
