Grenade event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ghaligai,Swat District area, Pakistan on Wed 24th July 2024

Two Police personnel were injured when militants opened firing at the Depot Pull Police checkpost in Ghaligai area of Swat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 24, reports The Khorasan Diary. The militants managed to escape towards the mountain forest, said Police.|At least 17 men were arrested when Police raided three centres of ‘armed unofficial men’ (a euphemism for Taliban that have surrendered to the state) in Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 24, reports The Khorasan Diary. An unnamed senior Police officer said that the centres of these armed militias were pointed out by the Jirga in Bannu. Twelve men were arrested from the Maliar Markaz in Muslimabad, five men have been arrested from Maulvi Ishaq Group in Bilal Markaz, however; the Markaz of Jalil Group was found empty. Non Custom Paid (NCP) motorcycles and vehicles along with AK-47’s and hand grenades were recovered. “We are still checking their criminal record, as for now there is no official First Information Report filed to charge them”, said Bannu District Police Chief.
