A soldier of the Quick Response Force (QRF) of the Frontier Corps (FC) South was killed and seven others were injured in the Buleda area of Kech District in Balochistan on July 19, reports Dawn. Officials said that some unidentified militants had planted an explosive device on the roadside, and they detonated it when a vehicle carrying FC personnel was passing through the area.|Some unidentified assailants exploded an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) through a remote control in front of the court of the district and the session judge to target the Counter Terrorism Department's (CTD) vehicle, which was carrying the department’s personnel in Pishin District in Balochistan on July 19, reports Dawn. “Miscreants wanted to target the Station House Officer of CTD Pishin, Chaudhay Asghar, who was travelling in the vehicle,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pishin Nanzoor Buledi said, adding that the CTD officer survived the attack, but three officials were injured. Officials said the IED blast left three CTD officials and three pedestrians injured. “It was an IED that was detonated through a remote control,” the officials added.
