On 1 August, an unidentified VBIED reportedly detonated in the Police Station of Shaykh Outhman (500 metres from Shaykh Outhman area) in Aden city, southern Yemen, killing 13 pro-Hadi elements and injuring others. Islamic State later published the name and image of a suicide bomber, claiming the attack. Some sources have reported multiple suicide attackers.
