On 9 August, unidentified forces reportedly fired a mortar shell at a civilian house in Khur Maksar district of Aden city, southern Yemen. The shell damaged the house, but did not explode. According to UN OCHA, fightings taking place in Aden between 8 and 10 August resulted in at least 40 civilians killed and 260 injured. Fatalities split up between 18 events over 3 days.
