On August 12, the Saudi-led coalition reported about the failed launch of two ballistic missiles by pro-Houthi forces. Fired from Harf Sufyan district in Amran governorate, the missiles reportedly crashed in Hayran district of Hajjah governorate, with no report of fatalities nor injuries, instead of making their way into Saudi Arabia.
