Four people have been injured in a 'chemical incident' in a Fulham block of flats this morning (Wednesday, July 17), the London Fire Brigade (LFB) said.One man from a first-floor flat in the five-storey building on Landridge Road has been rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics. A further three residents are being are being treated by them on scene.Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were called to reports of the incident. The details and the cause of the 'chemical incident' are not yet known.The brigade was called at 12.35am and is still on the scene six hours later.Crews are wearing breathing apparatus are helping residents in the block to evacuate the property.Station Commander Graham Crow is at the scene, he said: "This is a protracted incident and crews will be remaining on scene for several hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area to avoid traffic congestion."Fire crews from Fulham, Wandsworth, Euston, Bethnal Green, Hammersmith, Kensington, Battersea and Chiswick fire stations are in attendance.The LAS has been contacted for a statement about the incident.
