On 06 August 2019, a mortar shell exploded in a residential area of Moqani village, Pashtun Kot district, Faryab. A child was killed and 4 other civilians were wounded. The Taliban's Voice of Jihad reported this instead as a drone strike by NATO forces that killed 5 civilians but this report is unconfirmed.
