Bomb (Air Delivered) event in Donetsk, Yasnobrodivka area, Ukraine on Sat 6th July 2024

On July 6, 151 combat engagements took place on the front lines in Ukraine. This is said in a situation update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports. Yesterday the Russian army launched two missile strikes at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, 58 air strikes (using 76 guided aerial bombs), carried out about 4,000 shelling attacks, including 138 MLRS attacks, and used 1,041 kamikaze drones. The enemy also carried out air strikes, particularly in the areas of Izbytske, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Lyptsi, Vovchanski Khutory in the Kharkiv region; Chasiv Yar, Yurivka, Toretsk, New York, Oleksandropil, Novoselivka Persha, Vovche, Vozdvyzhenka, Semenivka, Mykhailivka, Memryk, Illinka, Pishchane, Hryhorivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Kostiantynopilske, Hannivka, Velyka Novosilka, Urozhaine in the Donetsk region; Huliaipole, Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. In the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops continued offensive and assault operations with the support of aircraft. A total of 11 combat engagements took place in the areas of Vovchansk, Hlyboke and Lyptsi. In the Kupiansk sector, the number of combat engagements increased to seven over the past day. The defense forces repelled attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Stelmakhivka in the Kharkiv region. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops thwarted 20 enemy attacks in the areas of Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske in the Luhansk region, Terny and Torske in the Donetsk region. In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Spirne and Vyimka in the Donetsk region. In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders prevented 11 Russian attempts to break through the defensive lines in the areas of Klishchiivka, Kalynivka, Ivanivske and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. In the Toretsk sector, the Russian army launched 16 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Pivnichne, Zalizne and New York in the Donetsk region, supporting its actions with air strikes. In the Pokrovsk sector, 49 attacks were repelled near Yuryivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Lozuvatske, Prohres, Novoselivka Persha, Yevhenivka, Yasnobrodivka and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka. Russians tried to break through the defensive lines 19 times. In the Vremivka sector, Russian troops carried out four attacks near Vodiane in the Donetsk region. In the Orikhiv sector, four combat engagements were recorded. The enemy was repelled near Robotyne and Novodanylivka. In the Dnipro River sector, the invaders continued attempts to drive the Defense Forces units out of their positions on the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. The invaders conducted five attacks, but were unsuccessful. The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia sectors remained unchanged. There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming. As reported by Ukrinform, Russia lost nearly 550,990 troops in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and July 7, 2024, including 1,150 soldiers killed or wounded in action in the past 24 hours.
