A total of 149 combat engagements took place in the past 24 hours between Ukraine’s defense forces and Russian invasion troops along the frontline in Ukraine. That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports. According to the latest update, on Friday, the enemy launched 64 airstrikes against Ukraine’s military positions and populated areas using 94 gliding bombs. Also, the Russians launched nearly 5,000 artillery strikes, including 143 involving multiple rocket launchers. Russian strikes targeted the settlements of Lyptsi, Vovchansk, Mali Prokhody, Starytsia, Kupiansk, and Hlyboke of Kharkiv region; Makiivka and Serebrianske forestry of Luhansk region; Chasiv Yar, Prohres, Mezhove, Heorhiivka, Storozhove, Druzhba, Toretsk, New York, Dalne, Katerynivka, and Makarivka of Donetsk region. Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force, missile and artillery units have launched 11 strikes on enemy manpower clusters, also hitting three air defense systems and an artillery system. Kharkiv axis: the enemy pursued offensive efforts as 13 combat clashes were recorded in the areas of Hlyboke, Starytsia, Lyptsi, and Vovchansk. Kupiansk axis: the number of attacks stood at 11. Defense forces repelled all assaults near Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, and Berestove. Lyman direction axis: Russian troops attacked 17 times in the areas of Nevske, Makiivka, Terny, and Torske, as well as in the Serebriansky Forest. Siversk axis: Ukrainian defenders repelled five assaults near Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka, and Vyimka. Kramatorsk axis: the Russian army attacked 11 times in the Ivanove, Andriivka, and Chasiv Yar areas. Toretsk axis: the invaders went for 19 assaults near Toretsk, Pivnichne, Zalizne, and New York. Pokrovsk axis: 42 assaults were repelled in the areas of Oleksandropil, Novoselivka Persha, Novo-oleksandrivka, Prohres, Lozuvatske, Sokil, Yasnobrodivka, Vozdvyzhenka, and Karlivka. There, the invaders, enjoying air support, attempted to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions. The enemy was largely focused on the area near Novo-oleksandrivka. Kurakhove axis: Ukraine’s defense forces repelled 22 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka where the enemy tried to penetrate the defense lines. Vremivka axis: the Russians carried out six assaults in the area of ??Vodiane and Urozhaine. Orikhiv axis: three skirmishes were recorded near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne. Volyn and Polissia axes: the operational situation has not changed significantly. Near the border with Ukraine’s Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russians maintain their military presence, shelling populated areas from across the border, increasing the density of minefields. As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Russian army lost another 1,120 military personnel (killed and wounded) in Ukraine in the past 24 hours.
