Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bannu area, Pakistan on Mon 15th July 2024

Two suicide bombers explode themselves in a failed attempt to enter the Bannu cantonment in Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the morning of July 15 (today), reports The Khorasan Diary. “Initial assessment shows that there were two suicide bombings” an unnamed senior security official said adding that “the attackers could not pass through the security cordon and exploded themselves, there is one fatality so far and injuries are being assessed”. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)’s Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction’s affiliate Jaish Al Fursan Muhammad’s ‘spokesman’ Nusrat Waziristan claimed that an explosive laden vehicle was rammed into the gate and suicide bombers tried to enter the premises.
