On 6 July 2024, in Mongmit town (Mongmit township, Mongmit district, Shan-North state), the Myanmar military attacked with bombs attached to a drone and a 55-year-old man was killed in the northern ward. A man and a woman were also injured. Some houses in Let Khoke Tan and Pa Laung Kone areas were destroyed. Shwe Phee Myay reported that the military attacked with bombs attached to a drone and Kachin News Group reported that the military fired heavy weapons.
