On 9 July 2024, in Singu town (Singu township, Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike and dropped bombs by a Y-12 plane in the morning in the No.1 and No.2 wards without an armed clash occurring. 11 houses and the San Kyaung monastery fences were destroyed. Irrawaddy reported that one girl was injured in her arm while Khit Thit Media reported that 2 women at the monastery entrance were injured.
