UAV event in Myanmar on Wed 10th July 2024

On 10 July 2024, in Hta Naung Kone village (Budalin township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), the military soldiers conducted a drone strike by dropping 6 bombs on the checkpoint of a local people's defense force on the Monywa - Ye-U road at around 10 am. They carried out another drone strike by dropping 6 more bombs on a medical clinic where the injured people's defense force members were being treated at around 11 am. Myanmar Now reported that one CDM health worker and 5 members of the local people's defense force were killed, and 15 others were severely injured. RFA reported that one female health worker and seven members of the local people's defense force were killed, and at least ten others were injured. DVB reported that one female health worker and five members of the local people's defense force were killed, and eight others were injured. Fatalities coded as 6, using the lowest estimate.
