On 30 June 2024, in Kyaukme town (Kyaukme township, Kyaukme district, Shan-North state), the military fired artillery rounds in the morning, hitting and destroying a gas station in No.9 ward. At around 11:45 pm, the military conducted airstrikes by dropping 500 lb bombs on the No.1 ward, hitting and destroying a hotel, the Kan Baw Za monastery and about 20 houses. Casualties unknown.
