A 25-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound in Helsingborg on Saturday evening. A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of the crime.

The police were called to the scene at 10.45pm on Saturday evening.

- We find a man with a gunshot wound, the weapon in question is unclear, the man was awake and talking, says Ulrika Olsson, officer on duty at the police.

The man is being treated in hospital with serious injuries.

The police arrested a man in his 40s and he was arrested during the night.

At 05:00 on Sunday morning, the police were ready at the scene and the area is no longer cordoned off.
