The police have arrested a 35-year-old man suspected of shooting at a man and a woman in Åstorp in Scania during the night of Saturday, the police write on their website.

The man is suspected of attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences. The incident, which occurred in central Åstorp, became known after witnesses alerted the police, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad.

- We drove there and examined the scene and found some technical findings that corroborate the witnesses' story, says Jörgen Winberg at the police, to the newspaper.

He says that there appear to be several shots that the man has fired at those that the police see as the man's target. However, the shot did not hit.
