On 7 June 2024, in Rar Hpu (Thit) village (Yebyu township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), during the fight with Mon State Revolutionary Force near the village (coded separately), some artillery rounds fired by the military landed in the village and destroyed over 10 houses in the village 10:05 am to 2:40 pm. Independent Mon News Agency, Radio Free Asia, Mizzima and Myanmar Now reported that a 9-month-old child, a 30-year-old man and a woman were killed. A 14-year-old boy was also injured. Another source, Irrawaddy, reported that 4 locals were killed. On 2 July 2024, Khit Thit Media updated that a family of 4 were killed. Fatalities coded as 4 for the most up-to-date estimates.
