On 29 June 2024, near Ya Haing Kwin village (Gwa township, Thandwe district, Rakhine state), a landmine exploded and killed a 50-year-old man when he stepped on the landmine planted by the Myanmar military near the LIB-562 compound. He died of excessive blood loss.
