Around 4 July 2024 (as reported), the Nigerian Air Force launched air strikes at IS/BH hideouts near Degbewa and Chinene, also spelt as Chinine (Gwoza, Borno). The location was suspected to be an IED manufacturing and storage facility. Several militiamen were killed in the air strikes, and the fleeing ones were struck with canons. Several fatalities coded as 3.
