A shooting has taken place at an apartment building in Västerås. No one was injured, according to the police.

It was around 01:00 on the night of Tuesday that the police were alerted to loud explosions in Råby.

- We received several calls about loud bangs. When we got there, we could ascertain that someone had shot into a gate, says Patrik Wallblom, RLC commander at the police in the Mitt region, to TT.

No one injured

No one has been found injured, and no one has yet been suspected or arrested, according to TT.

The police have started a preliminary investigation into suspected serious weapons offences.

The place is cordoned off and a technical investigation is being carried out, according to the police.
