The police were called on Thursday morning to a parking lot in Partille after members of the public heard shots being fired.

The alarm came to the police at 10:30 a.m. after witnesses heard shots and also saw a black car and a person in a hood running from the parking lot.

No one is said to have been injured and the police are currently looking for the person who may have been shot.

Two people were initially arrested - linked to gang crime

After a major operation, the police were able to arrest two people. But they were released on Sunday, the Prosecutor's Office told Partille newspaper.

The incident is initially classified as attempted murder and is believed to have links to a conflict within the network criminal environment in Gothenburg.
