On 24.12.93 a fire was declared in the phase 5 of the principal electric transformer of group 1. Due to unknown electric causes. The event produced turbine scram and reactor scram. The fire was extinguished by the fire brigade of the NPP in a short time interval. All the safety functions were complete and the event did not affect any safety systems.
