On 4.12.94 a leakage was detected in a manual valve located in the temperature measurement line of loop 1 of the core coolant system. The amount of the leakage was in all moments within technical specifications.

The leakage was detected using the normal detection resources with a value of 200 l/h. The maximum value permitted in the technical specifications is 227 l/h.

The cause of the event was the fault of a joint of the valve.

The NPP at 10:37 hours on 4 December 1994 initiated a power reduction to correct the problem and to identify the specific point of the leakage.
