CBRN event in Colorado, Longmont area, United States of America on Wed 2nd September 2015
2nd September 2015
Two Tritium exit signs were found to be missing in Colorado, from a building that once served as a school for the developmentally disabled. The current owner of the building said that when the school closed, the exit signs were removed and sent to the Center for Resource Conservation located in Boulder, CO in 2014. The Center was contacted on November 4th, 2015, and stated that when larger boxes are inspected, smaller items can go unnoticed. It is possible that the signs were placed on a recycling roll off to be picked up by Evraz located in Denver, CO. It is unknown when the signs were picked up by Evraz in 2014, and it is also unknown if the signs were sold or scrapped.
