The nuclear cardiology and radiation safety staff at the Cardiovascular Institute of New England discovered that a radioactive source was missing. It is a CS137 Rod Source made by Bench Mark. After searching the nuclear cardiology imaging room and hot lab, the source was still not found. The institute has replaced the source with a new one, which is stored in a secure location. The staff says it will conduct daily inventories of their sources. No information about any further investigation was provided.
