The NOAA Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteoroligical Laboratory (AOML) reported a lost Hewlett-Packard Gas Chromatograph containing a 15 mCi Ni-63 source in April 2014. According to a previous property custodian, the NOAA is under the impression that the device was disposed of through UNICOR and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBP) by. Since there is no documentation for this transfer and the current property custodian was unable to contact UNICOR to confirm that it had received the device,the device is considered lost.
