The Federal Agency of Nuclear Control reported that on June 14 2014, a pacemaker battery containing PU238 was detected at a waste-sorting facility in Saint-Nicolas, Belgium. After an investigation was conducted, the company to which the device belonged to was identified. The source was removed in a secure manner from the facility.
